EVENT:     Collaboration Support Skills

(A two-day training course for funding advisers/ development workers)

 

DATES:     Thursday 20th May and Thursday 27th May 2010, 10am - 3pm

VENUE:     MPH Training Centre, Stonehills, Shields Road, Gateshead, NE10 0HW

COST:      FREE

 

This course is part of Collaboration Benefits, a 3-year programme led by bassac in partnership with the Institute of Voluntary Action Research. It is a national support service funded by Capacitybuilders as part of the Improving Support Initiative.

 

The programme is designed to support workers from infrastructure organisations to develop their skills to facilitate frontline agencies who wish to explore collaborative working practice, partnerships and mergers in order to maximise opportunities to reduce costs and enhance service delivery.

 

The 2-day training sessions will help you get a better understanding of:

Good practice in facilitation and enabling collaborative working

bullet

The benefits and challenges of collaborative working

bullet

Critical success factors involved in collaborative working

bullet

The policy context which is driving collaborative working

 

The training will be delivered by Julie Duell, Chief Executive of VODA.
