European Social Fund Voluntary Organisations Northern (ESFVON)

Esfvon is a regional charity supporting voluntary organisations in receipt of, or wishing to apply for funding from European Social Fund. ESFVON provides guidance on structural funds and other sources of European funding for voluntary organisations in the North East of England.

Government Office for the North East (GONE)

GONE exists to manage regional programmes on behalf of Central Government, e.g. Neighbourhood Renewals Funds, Community Empowerment Fund, European Funding. It also supports and facilitates effective links between partners and programme.

One NorthEast

The regional development agency for the North East of England. It was established by the Government to further economic development and regeneration and has created a 10 year Regional Economic Strategy, together with regional partners, which has led to a diverse range of programmes and initiatives throughout all parts of the region.

North East Social Enterprise Partnership (NESEP) - NESEP is the new regional development agency for the sector to develop and support social enterprise in the region. NESEP works to promote and support social enterprise in the North East with a practical programme of work including, marketing and raising the profile of the sector, training capitalising on opportunities for social enterprise to develop and expand.

Regeneration Exchange

Networks best practice with regard to regeneration across the North East. It aims to increase the capacity of regeneration partnerships, partner groups and agencies to deliver initiatives more effectively through developing networks and structures for sharing information, exchanging skills and promoting good practice. The website aims to make current training and development opportunities easily accessible to those working and volunteering in the voluntary and community sectors. It aims to encourage the take up of opportunities and includes a training database of over 1400 courses available from over 80 training providers, with a selection of 10 subject areas.
