Fair Train extra funding for apprenticeships (England)

Fair Train helps
charities, social enterprises and other not for profit organisations to
fund, recruit and train apprentices and will help these organisations
secure government funding. It will match Fair Train training providers
to charities / social enterprises that want to offer apprenticeships,
and put not-for-profit organisations in touch with training providers
who understand their needs.
Between now and the
end of March 2010 the government is giving an extra £2,500 to the
first 5,000 organisations that take on a young person aged 16
or 17 years taken on as an apprentice and offered on-the-job training.

Victims Fund will go to develop support for victims of hate crime for
2010/11 (f.year). Available to those working within 5 hate crime strands

level of need for the service for which funding is sought

Legacy Trust UK
- Community Celebrations (UK)

Grants will allow
communities to come together to host 'large scale' outdoor celebrations
at moments of real local significance in the run up to the Olympics. The
celebrations should also relate to celebrations/festivals around

projects, after premiering in their home cities, will be given the
chance to make their way to the five London Host Boroughs in July 2012.
Any successful

BIG Lottery Changes to Reaching Communities (England)

The following changes to
Reaching Communities will be introduced in the Spring:

A new programme strand
with simpler application / assessment processes will be introduced for
applicants seeking up to £40,000 a year
-
A two-stage decision
making process for larger bids will ensure all applicants learn sooner
whether their project is in with a chance and for those invited to the
second stage, the likelihood of success will be much higher
-
Introduced later in
the year will be a capital stream offering funding for community
buildings likely to fund medium sized refurbishments, new builds or
extensions to community use buildings

vulnerable older people can now apply for grants for financial or
housing related support. The Foundation will continue to make small
grants for work that addresses financial and/or housing related support
to survivors of domestic abuse. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to

Sportsmatch

Sportsmatch is seeking
applications for funding for 2010/11. Some changes to the criteria have
been announced:

both revenue or
capital costs are covered, however the maximum capital grant that can
now be awarded is £25,000
-
capital projects
involving construction, refurbishment or land improvement are not
eligible for support
-
it is now expected
that Sportsmatch will be allocated by Autumn 2010, so early submission
of applications is encouraged
