FINE was established in 1986 by Councils for Voluntary Service to research and publicise information on funding opportunities in the North East. We serve County Durham, Northumberland, Tees Valley, and Tyne & Wear.
We are answerable to the FINE Development Group, a consortium of Local Support and Development Organisations and other infrastructure bodies. Gateshead Voluntary Organisations Council (GVOC) hosts and manages FINE and employs the FINE staff.
